By joining the Writers Against the Algorithm community, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions, designed to create a respectful, productive and safe environment.
1. Community overview
Purpose: our community is dedicated to helping copywriters navigate industry changes and answer the following key questions:
- How do we build fulfilling and successful careers?
- What skills do we need to remain competitive?
- How do we do this while keeping our integrity intact?
Membership benefits: for a fee of £30 per month, members receive:
- Access to a daily discussion forum
- Weekly group support calls
- Weekly creative coworking sessions
- Monthly guest speaker events
- Monthly skills workshops
2. Membership terms
Eligibility: this community is open to active and practicing copywriters.
Membership structure: we offer one membership level with a monthly subscription fee of £30.
Cancellation and refund policy: members may cancel at any time. A full refund is available within the first 14 days of membership, no questions asked.
3. Member conduct
Expected behaviour: members are expected to maintain a thoughtful, friendly, empathetic, honest and generous attitude.
Confidentiality: all content and conversations within the community are confidential and intended solely for this community.
Content sharing and intellectual property: what is shared in the community stays in the community. Unauthorised sharing of other members’ content outside the group is prohibited.
Consequences for misconduct: a minor violation will receive a single warning. For serious infringements, such as hate speech, immediate membership termination will result with refund.
4. Confidentiality and privacy
Confidentiality of content: all discussions and shared materials within the community are confidential.
Privacy and data handling: members' data will only be used to operate and enhance the community and will not be shared with third parties.
5. Content and intellectual property
Ownership of posted content: members retain ownership of the content they post.
Community’s intellectual property: the community’s branding, logos and any proprietary content belong solely to the community leader. Unauthorised use or replication is prohibited.
6. Limitation of liability and disclaimers
Liability limitation: the community and its leader are not liable for members' actions, nor for any events beyond the leader’s control, including data breaches.
No guarantees: while we strive to provide valuable insights and resources, we do not guarantee specific results or outcomes from participation in this community.
7. Modifications to terms
Updates and amendments: these terms may be updated periodically. Members will be notified of any changes via an announcement within the community’s discussion forum.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
Jurisdiction: these terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
Dispute resolution: members are encouraged to reach out directly to the community leader with any concerns.
